Tuesday evening at 6 p.m., a memorial for the events of Sept. 11, 2001 will be held at the 9/11 Memorial site in Mills Park, near the Pavilion in Carson City.

He will speak in support of Question 1, the Marsy's Law Crime Victims Rights Amendment, which is on the November ballot as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment. A "yes" vote supports the addition of specific crime victim rights, together known as a Marsy's Law, to the Nevada Constitution.

“Our hearts ache for all the families and individuals involved in the car accident in Kings Canyon. We learned yesterday from law enforcement that one of our students passed away. Throughout the day today, the administration at Carson High School has provided and will continue to provide, as needed this week, grief counseling and support for students and staff. As more is learned about a memorial service, we will pass that information along.”
