CARSON CITY — The Carson Aquatic Facility will be closed from Nov. 3 to Jan. 2 for infrastructure enhancements. An approximately $550,000 investment into the facility’s infrastructure will be made during the two month closure.

Question 4 is on the ballot this year for Nevadans to choose whether or not to include certain medical equipment to the sales tax exemption list, similar to Question 2.

In the upcoming midterm election Nevada voters will be faced a question of tax exemption. If adopted, Question 2 would create a state and local sales tax exemption for feminine hygiene products.

Taxable sales increased 8.6 percent in April, totaling $4.95 billion. But Carson City didn't share in the wealth, instead reporting a 2.3 percent decrease in sales to $93.37 million.
