Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles awards more than $1.2 million in grants for 2018

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles has awarded $1,290,293 to 28 off-highway vehicle projects and initiatives in Nevada.

Epic Rides raffling $6,000 mountain bikes to raise money for trails

After a successful inaugural year raising more than $26,000 for trails, the second-annual Epic Rides “Hail the Trail” fundraiser will launch March 1 with a goal of raising $40,000 by raffling off four high-performance mountain bikes worth $6,000 each.

Christmas tree permits available Monday on public land in Tahoe basin, Eldorado National Forest

The Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit and the Eldorado National Forest will begin the sale of Christmas tree permits on Monday, Nov. 13. Permit holders may choose from a variety of pine, fir or cedar trees up to six inches in diameter at the base in designated cutting areas.
