October 27, 2018 - 11:30am Carson Valley Medical Center Registered Dietitian Renie Tharp will host a free seminar and healthful luncheon entitled "Putting Diabetes Type II and Pre-diabetes In Perspective," Oct. 27 at 11:30 a.m. (lunch served at 12:30 p.m.)

June 23, 2017 - 10:00am Partnership Carson City is hosting a Diabetes Self-Management Class developed by Stanford University. Class meets for two and a half hours on Fridays, for six weeks. The first class is on May 19 and meets from 9:45 to 12:30 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1201 N. Saliman Rd., Carson City. The class covers monitoring blood sugar; coping with anger, fear and frustration; communication with health care professionals, family, and friends; use of medications; relaxation techniques; healthy eating; physical activity and more.
