Carson City remembers Pearl Harbor on diamond anniversary

Frigid arctic air brought shivers to the crowd encircling the U.S.S. Nevada memorial Wednesday morning behind the Capitol during the state's remembrance of the Pearl Harbor attacks that occurred 75 years ago.

December 7, 2013 - 11:00am Carson City Library will present National Geographic’s documentary film “Pearl Harbor: Legacy of Attack” on Saturday, Dec. 7, the 72nd anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The film will be shown at the BRIC, 109 E. Proctor Street in downtown Carson City. The film will begin at 11:00 a.m. (just before the Wine Walk).

November 14, 2012 - 5:30pm 5:30PM- 8:30PM, Wednesday, Novemeber 14,2012 at Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino, 2171 Hwy 50 East, Carson City. The social hour is at 5:30PM, followed by a buffet dinner at 6:30PM. We will be celebrating Veteran's Day and honoring Veteran's from all Services. Also, we will honor Pearl Harbor Survivors. Speaker for the evening will be Rear Admidral Mark Vance, Commander, Naval Stride and Air Warfare Center (Top Gun).
