Deadline for Rural Business Development Grant is May 15

Grant money can be used to acquire or develop land, buildings, plants and equipment; build or improve access roads, parking areas, utility extensions and water and waste disposal facilities; provide technical assistance, establish revolving loan funds and to support rural distance learning programs that provide educational or job training.
New Salon, Spa and Wellness Center to open in Carson City
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Fri, 07/12/2013 - 1:50pmLocal business owners Perry and Starr Nixdorf announce that they bought the building at 3430 Executive Pointe Way. The previously bank-owned building is being remodeled to become the largest salon, spa and wellness center in Carson City.
Hair services performed at Hair Studio and body piercing services by Spear Me will be moved to the new location, to be called Paradise Salon-Spa-Wellness. It will be the only salon/spa in the area to provide private and semi-private salon suites.
Grand opening this weekend for Sierra Le Bone
Submitted by admin on Thu, 12/08/2011 - 1:56pmSierra Le Bone, a boutique for dogs and cats as well as their owners, will celebrate their grand opening Friday and Saturday at their new location at 880 South Stewart Street, across from the fire station.
The business moved in October from their previous location in the Raley's Center, and co-owner Jan McMinn said they are very happy in their new place. Even though their old store was just a few yards off busy South Carson Street, they had trouble converting that traffic to customers as other businesses in the same building began closing their doors.
