Update: NHP Investigates fatal accident east of Fallon

The Nevada Highway Patrol sent this update on the fatal accident this morning involving two vehicles near Fallon. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of family members.

"This morning, at approximately 7:05 a.m., troopers from the NHP-Fallon District were dispatched to an automobile accident on Highway 50 near mile marker 32, approximately 8 miles east of Fallon.

Over the line: Carson City woman arrested for allegedly throwing rocks at protesters

There was a disturbance near the Legislature Building Saturday afternoon in Carson City. A woman who was apparently angry at some political signs, allegedly threw rocks at three demonstrators.

The news that came across the scanner this July 3 afternoon was that there was a fight involving "protesters" in front of the Legislative Building. Given the political climate these days, it was worth following up.

Douglas authorities seek help in locating missing 76-year-old Indian Hills woman

A 76-year-old Indian Hills woman, who reportedly suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, is missing and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in finding her. 
The woman, Ada Cordero, was reported missing by her daughter this Sunday afternoon and was last seen at 7:30 a.m. by her daughter, according to a press statement.
