Lyon County Republican Central Committee announces that the regularly scheduled County Convention has been postponed and the monthly meetings of the Lyon County Central Committee have been cancelled until further notice following the recommendations of the state of emergency declared by President Trump, Governor Sisolak of Nevada and the Lyon County Board of Commissioners.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. The monthly Downtown Carson City Wine Walk takes place Saturday followed by a performance from Tom Petty and Rod Stewart tribute bands during The Do Drop In’s “A Face in the Crowd” homeless fundraiser at Fuji Park. St. Teresa School will host its 17th annual Crab Feed Fundraiser. Combined with comedy at the Carson Nugget and Brewery Arts Center, the Carson City region is in store for a busy weekend. Lyon County Republican Central Committee will meet on Saturday, March 7 in Dayton at the Lyon County Utilities Building located at 34 Lakes Blvd., Dayton.

No host cocktails will begin at 5:30p.m. and a buffet dinner will be served at 6:30p.m. There will be a 50/50 drawing, a silent auction, a live auction and a gun raffle. Our guest speaker is Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske and our emcee is Nevada State Senator James Settelmeyer.
