We want to send a big birthday "shoutout" to our outdoor editor emeritus Don Quilici, who turns 85 today. Don and his wife, Elaine, remain active, maintain healthy walks and hikes around the region and have plans for yet another Alaska outback trip this summer. Happy Birthday Q!

The Carson City High School class of 1979 will celebrate it's 40 year reunion the weekend of July 19-21. Our banner across downtown Carson Street welcomes home all alumni. Here we go, Carson City, it is Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Another mixed bag of weather around the capital city today, with mostly cloudy skies and a few showers in the morning and then mostly sunny later in the afternoon with daytime highs in the upper 50s. Not bad for a spring day.

From library presentations, a TV show casting call at the Carson Nugget, an afternoon hike, to a train history presentation, a book signing at the Brewery Arts Center, a CHS theater performance and the Carson City movie screening premier of "The Mustang" filmed at the historic Nevada State Prison, there's something for everyone. Good morning Carson City and welcome to Thursday, Feb. 28, the last day of the month. It was quite a ride as we stood strong with rain and snow, local events and welcoming the Nevada Legislature back into session. It isn't over yet. Read on as Elvis is at Carson City's door tonight. Then it is onward and upward to March.

Clint Kenneth is a father of three, has placed in the top three at Elvis competitions nationwide and has over 100 voices he can imitate.
