The LED Light

A number of projects are on the agenda this year for the Carson City School District, not the least of which is a district-wide refit with energy-efficient improvements designed to give substantial annual savings back to the community over the next two decades, CCSD Operations Director Mark Korinek said.

This Saturday evening, June 14th, will be the 2nd annual Blinky Man cruiser ride, a costumed night time bike ride with lights! This fun social ride begins at 7:30PM, and visits some of Carson City’s favorite hangouts. At 8:30 PM, the sun goes down and all the lights go on.

As May comes to a close, it’s time to look back on all the fun events we had during Bike Month and thank our volunteers and sponsors who made it all possible!

The YBP has an exciting event approaching!

On July 27th, we are happy to have The LED Light sponsor this month’s mixer. Mary Wecker, owner of The LED Light will be giving us her insight on becoming a successful business owner. We will also be given a tour of LED Light’s beautiful new facilities. Come enjoy appetizers and a no-host bar. All your generous tips will be donated to the Dayton Valley Soccer League.

The LED Light had their official ribbon cutting last night for their new retail store on Fairview. The store offers just about everything you can think of that uses LED lights, known for their energy savings and versatility. Some of the more interesting items: light-up dog frisbees, a camping lantern that runs 45 hours on one set of batteries, LED grow lights for plants, and a strip of lights that you can place under your kitchen counters.
