King St in Carson City. Doors open at 5:30 pm. The forums are co-sponsored by the Nevada Appeal.
History of Women’s Suffrage focus of Jan. 23 community meeting

Fall-themed train rides from the Virginia Truckee Railroad Company and the Nevada State Railroad Museum will be available on Saturday and Sunday. A virtual “Light After Dark” fitness event will be held on Saturday to support the Carson City-based Advocated to End Domestic Violence program. Due to pandemic mitigation measures, Fair Maps Nevada won a court ruling extending the signature-gathering deadline for their redistricting reform ballot question to August 3rd.

Roger was married to his high school sweetheart, Jean (Russell) Laird. They shared 56 years of marriage.

Veterans and their caregivers will be provided with information on services and programs provided by area non-profits, advisory groups, government agencies, and the private sector. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Born in Bronxville, NY on September 18, 1930, Betty was raised in Scarsdale, NY, spending all of her childhood summers in Orient Point, NY. Betty attended Scarsdale High and graduated from Dana Hall preparatory school. She attained a B.A. Degree in Mathematics at Vassar College. It was there that she was better known by her classmates as “Betty Boop.”
