Okay. This is one of the hardest weekend lists I’ve ever had to do. This dump of snow has cancelled some events, but others are in full force. Best I can tell, St. Patrick’s Day parties are not deterred by a little snowfall. There will be no parade in Virginia City, but the Rocky Mountain Oyster Fest is on. Head to downtown Carson for more green beer, Irish music, and corned beef and cabbage than you’ll know what to do with.

SATURDAY: St. Patrick’s Day

Irish eyes are smiling on us: it’s going to be a gorgeous day. You won’t have to look far for some green beer, whiskey, or corned beef – there will be St. Patrick’s Day parties all over. Live music is on the menu, as well. Choose from Men of Worth at the Brewery Arts Center, an all ages punk show at Sassafras, or Stereo Galaxy in the McFadden Plaza, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The brave ones will be at the St. Baldrick Fundraiser at Red’s Old 395 where you’ll see some heads shaved for a good cause. Where ever you end up, just make sure you have a plan to get home safely.

Cíana returns to the Brewery Arts Center on Saturday, Nov. 12, 7 p.m. for a show that dives headlong into the rich pool of traditional Irish, Scottish, Breton, and American music, featuring four players from diverse musical backgrounds.

Saint Patrick was a gentleman, who through strategy and stealth, drove all the snakes from Ireland, here’s a toasting to his health. But not too many toastings, lest you lose yourself and then, forget the good Saint Patrick and see all those snakes again! Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Carson City. There are some great parties going on around town, check out the list to find them all. Don’t forget to designate a sober driver or call a taxi if whiskey or green beer are part of the day’s plan.

St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner and the celebrations have begun. The Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada has crafts and Irish dancers. Carson Lanes is hosting their annual Pot of Gold Tournament. The Downtown Reno Leprechaun Crawl is always a crazy time. Take a look at this weekend summary to find the fun for miles around.

Batten down the hatches, a storm is brewing. It’s almost Christmas, and whoever asked for snow is getting their wish. Take a break from the hustle and bustle at karaoke: choose from Living the Good Life, Crossroads Lounge, or Caterpillar’s Hookah Lounge. Grab your smartest friends for Geeks Who Drink trivia at Lake Tahoe Brewing Co. Head to Red’s Old 395 for a chance to tell Santa what’s on your list.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, and it’s not a bad bet this week. Enjoy the sunshine while we’ve got it. Enjoy an evening of trivia at Living the Good Life. Break out the ugliest of sweaters for a night of karaoke at Carson Cigar C0. Head out to Sassafras to hear Linda Argento’s duo, ‘Xing Bridges,’ host an invitational jam.

'Tis the Season, Carson City! Holiday cheer is in the wind, and we have plenty of wind right now. This weekend is jam-packed with food and toy drives, concerts, and Santa-sightings, so bundle up and have a fun time enjoying our great city.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day Saturday at Children's Museum of Northern Nevada. Come join the fun and wear your green and celebrate at the Children’s Museum with arts and crafts along with a performance by the Blanchette School of Irish Dance at 2pm.
