March 22, 2024 (All day) There will be a Bee and Garden Conference in Minden March 22-24. This conference will focus on beekeeping, pollinators, and landscaping for homeowners and small acreages. There will also be hands-on classes for floral design, making medicinal products from the hive, and value-added honey products.

February 11, 2023 - 6:00pm Back by popular demand! The beginning beekeeping workshop will be held on February 10 and 11 at Adams Hub for Innovation, Carson City. As usual, there is a great line-up of speakers and topics.
Topics include everything from bee anatomy, equipment, and hive inspections, to diseases and pests, planting for pollinators, and treasures and tastings from the hive.
Lindsay Chichester, Douglas County Extension Educator, and fourth-year beekeeper is excited to provide this educational opportunity to new beekeepers to teach them the foundation needed for beekeeping.

February 18, 2022 - 6:00pm University of Nevada, Reno Extension is holding a beginning beekeeping workshop for new beekeepers and beekeepers looking to hone their skills. The two-day workshop will be held Feb. 18, 6 to 8:45 p.m., and Feb. 19, 8 a.m., to 4:45 p.m. at Fuji Park, 601 Old Clear Creek Road in Carson City.
