Carson City's Empty Bowls 2019 announces Awards for Best Soup

2019 Carson City’s Empty Bowls event was a success! This event would have never been possible without our local restaurants’ donations of several gallons of soup. This year was our first year awarding the best, most popular soup served. It was a very difficult decision to make as all of the soups were phenomenal, but here are our top three winners!

But unlike others in the community who struggle every day with hunger, my bowl won't be empty.

Project Empty Bowls: Free pottery making event Saturday to end Hunger in Carson City

September 13, 2014 - 10:00am Design your own pottery for the greater good this Saturday at the Children's Museum in Carson City. Project Empty Bowls will be working with all ages making bowls from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Dec. 5 Empty Bowl's soup feed fundraiser at the Carson City Silver & Snowflakes Festival of Lights.
No experience necessary. Come create a bowl to donate and help the Empty Bowls Carson City Project to feed the hungry in our valley.
Saturday is 21st Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

May 11, 2013 (All day) The 21st Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will take place this year on the Saturday before Mother's Day, May 11th. This is the largest one day food drive in the nation, and since it's start has collected over 1.2 billion pounds of food.
All the food collected goes to local organizations that help feed the hungry in our community. This year Advocates to End Domestic Violence, F.I.S.H., and the Ron Wood Center will be participating.

In an effort to contribute to feeding the hungry children in our community, Anytime Fitness of Carson City will donate $10 for each new membership this month to Food for Thought, a local non-profit organization that provides weekend meals to over 800 children in our community. Many of our children only receive the food they need during the school week.
