Fun family event

Join us for The Mane Event on Saturday, June 1, at Cowork Tahoe from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. We’re excited for a fun-filled day for the entire family! Here’s what’s in store:

Join Mountain Vista Baptist Church in Carson City for our Easter Eggstravaganza, March 30 from 10 a.m. to noon. We will have egg hunts broken up by age groups, popcorn, cookies, hot cocoa, and coffee. There will be fun crafts, bounce houses, other games, and the Easter Bunny.

Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church will host a cookie decorating as a fun and a family friendly event Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at 3680 U.S. Highway 395, Carson City.

Families and people of all ages are invited to Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church to enjoy a fun time decorating cookies for loved ones in honor of St. Valentine’s Day. People can arrive any time between 12:30 and 3:30 on February 12, which is the Sunday before this year’s St. Valentine’s Day.

For PRE-K (children not yet in elementary school) and families:

Join us for weekly themed stories and crafts. Craft instructions and additional resources, including activities for older children who may be at home, will be included.

Honor Flight Nevada invites you to the 2015 Regional Chili Cook Off and Craft Fair. Held under the trees at Glen Eagles Restaurant, 3700 N. Carson St in Carson City on Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12.

This fun family event features chili and salsa cooks competing for a chance to go to the World Chili Championship. red chili, green chili and salsa competitions along with the ever popular Peoples Choice which YOU get to vote on. Chili tasting kits are only $3 each.

Thursday, October 30, 2014 - Celebrate Halloween with a visit to the Children's Museum annual Trick or Treat. Come to the museum in costume and trick or treat There will be clever Halloween-themed activities and trick or treating.

Dayton Valley Days on September 18 and 19 will be more than a fun family event. The annual street fair will also benefit several local nonprofits that add to the quality of life in the Dayton Valley.

One of those nonprofits is Central Lyon Youth Connections (CLYC), an organization that offers a number of free programs to enhance positive youth development. Director Michele Watkins explained that CLYC includes Project Success, Volunteer Connections, Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws and service learning projects.
