Just to correct some points in the article: Steve Knight is not the owner but is the Executive DIrector/Superintendent/Principal of Silver State Schools, a 7-12 grade FREE PUBLIC Charter school.

Unfortunately, mining is a cyclical industry, so while there may be substantial revenue one year, mining taxes can be a dry hole the next. Same for big gaming.

Mining should have been paying more for decades. Maybe Gaming should too but minings near free ride should be reversed now.
