October 1, 2015 (All day) Each year, the Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation (FCCPR, formerly the Foundation for the Betterment of Carson City Parks and Recreation), in conjunction with the Carson City Parks and Recreation Department, recognizes individuals and groups who contribute to the vitality of the community and Carson City's recreational environment.
Carson City Memorial Wall nominations sought

The Foundation for the Betterment of Carson City Parks and Recreation is accepting nominations of individuals, organizations, and businesses to be recognized for their contributions to Carson City's parks and recreation.
The selected names will be added to the Memorial Wall at the entrance to the Pony Express Pavilion at Mills Park, followed by an awards ceremony there on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 4:30 p.m. The categories are Organization of the Year, Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Volunteer of the Years.
