Nevada Raider Nation: Carson City Chapter Game Watch
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Tue, 10/22/2019 - 1:44pmNevada Raider Nation, Carson City Chapter welcomes all Raiders fans to watch the Raiders vs Texans this Sunday, Oct. 27 at 1:25 p.m., at Jimmy G's, 301 N. Carson St. in Carson City.
The Chapter will host a potluck, and Jimmy G's will offer drink specials for Chapter members. A 50/50 drawing will also be held. Winner must be present to win.
A moment of silence will be held in honor of Former Raiders Cornerback Willie Brown, 1967-78, during halftime.

Virginia company targeting Carson City area businesses in school sports scam

However, according to Carson City School District, this company has no real affiliation with the school nor the district.

Hello from CHS in Carson City. I want to share this information with you so that you may be able to come and support our many students participating in Fall Sports. The list below has upcoming events for each sport in which our new Athletic Leadership Council is going to push out to their teams and friends to come support one another. In the spirit of unity, we want to reach out to both the staff and community to invite all of you to do the same.
Senator Square: Carson High School graduate addresses National Honor Society members

Costella was an active member of NHS, and this fact influenced his desire to attend college at Villanova University in Philadelphia, PA where he earned degrees in Political Science and English.
Hawaii brings pineapple express to Nevada homecoming

Nevada couldn’t string together any offensive drives and the Rainbow Warriors took advantage a potent offensive attack.

Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Tue, 09/24/2019 - 12:27pmNevada Raider Nation, Carson City Chapter will host an Oakland Raiders vs Indianapolis Colts Game Watch at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 at Jimmy G's, 301 N. Carson St., in Carson City.
New fans are welcome to join Chapter members and root on the Oakland Raiders. Jimmy G's will offer drink specials, while members will grill hot dogs for the crowd. Donations to cover the cost of food are accepted. A 50/50 cash drawing will be held as well.
Senator Square: 'Happiest Carson High School Homecoming on Earth' a huge success

Homecoming is more than just a football game, it encompasses multiple celebratory events such as bonfires, tailgate parties, dances, and the crowning of a King and Queen. Fall is in the air in Carson City, and a change in the weather was one more reason for kids and adults alike to get out and celebrate this year’s Disney themed Happiest Homecoming on Earth.
Carson Senators football faces Hug Hawks Friday night

Carson is 1-2 to start the year coming off a tough losses to Foothill and Redding. Hug is 0-4 coming off a 39-0 loss to Galena.
Senator Square: Time for the Happiest Carson High School Homecoming on Earth

Leadership students led the assembly with the first activity being the introduction of the Homecoming King and Queen candidates who made their grand entrance onto the floor.

Carson High School will again open its doors a little wider and longer for the 3rd Annual Back-to-School Night like no other Sept. 9. Open House, Open Hearts is a community event focused on building bridges to local services for teens and their families, increasing parent and guardian engagement at CHS, and celebrating the community, creativity, and diverse talents of Carson City.

Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sun, 09/01/2019 - 6:36amWatching them gather, wearing pajamas, wrapped in blankets, and celebrating the beginning of their senior year, the Class of 2019-2020 gathered together at 6:00 a.m. Aug. 30 on the bleachers of the Carson High School football field to watch the sun rise; it is the beginning of their last year at CHS, and, for some of them, their last year as students who were raised within the Carson City School District, students who went from kindergarten at Mark Twain Elementary to Carson Middle School and have spent the last three years at CHS.

Carson’s potent offense stole the show for most of the contest. The Senators rushed for 359 yards and 137 passing yards.

Youth from around Nevada learn crafts, life skills at Tahoe summer camp

While he said he enjoyed the activities, he mostly appreciated the sense of connection he’s felt and the lessons learned about being vulnerable.
