April 1, 2023 (All day) TOCCATA, Tahoe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus James Rawie, Artistic Director and Conductor will host Passion According to St. Matthew First performed on Good Friday, 1727 in the ThomasKirche-Leipzig, Germany, Johann Sebastian Bach 1685-1750.

Phyllis Anker Bendure March 7, 1919 - August 11, 2017

Phyllis Lorraine Anker Bendure, 98, passed away peacefully early Friday morning on August 11th. She was born in Reno, Nevada on March 7, 1919, a third generation Nevadan whose grandparents emigrated to Lovelock from Denmark and established Anker Ranch in 1877. That ranch is still in the family today.
Historic Methodist Church celebrates Christmas Eve

December 24, 2012 - 4:30pm "For unto you is born this day a savior, who is Christ the Lord." Celebrate Christ's birth tonight in the warmth of candlelight and carols at First United Methodist Church, Carson City, corner of Musser and Division Streets. Services are at 4:30, 7pm, 9pm and 11pm. Childcare is provided at 4:30 and 7pm. And a very merry Christmas to you and yours.
