October 8-10, 2021, The Carson Valley Arts Council will host the first annual Carson Valley Art Studio Tour.

The Carson Valley Arts Council is hosting the first annual Carson Valley Art Studio Tour next October 2021, and they are seeking input from interested fine artists at this time. All fine art media will be considered, and shared studio space will be coordinated by the CVAST team.
November Wine Walk, bike tour, craft fair and more highlight weekend events around Carson City

The November Gobble Wine Walk kicks off in downtown Carson City followed by a new “Paths and Pedals” bike tour. Sierra Lutheran High School is also hosting a Christmas craft fair on Saturday. Combined with live music and virtual events, there’s plenty of activity happening in the state capital! Read on for more information.

To get a good look at the viewing, venture up through Highway 88 from Woodfords to Caples Lake. Another good area of fall color viewing is from Woodfords on Highway 89 up to Kinney reservoir on Highway 4 .

Lined up today are fall train rides in Carson City and Virginia City, a women veteran's support group meeting, and a a discussion with survivors, family and doctors about metastatic breast cancer. Also today, the Carson City Symphony will open its 36th season at the community center. Enjoy.

The trees and aspen "quakies" in Alpine County have now peaked. Another place to enjoy the fall colors would be at Taylor Creek on Emerald Bay Road near South Lake Tahoe.

I Love Carson City’s Weekend Event Summary: Oct. 14 – 15

Get ready for Halloween with your choice of pumpkin patches. Seeliger Elementary School is hosting theirs for the twenty-fifth year in a row. Take a trip on the V and T Steam Train at the Nevada Railroad Museum, actually take several trips. The annual Harvest Train event offers an all-day wristband that allows for as many rides as you’d like, in addition to museum admission. So many more fun activities are available to you, you’ll have to read on to see them all.
