The 16th Motor Officer Challenge kicks off Friday at 7 a.m. at Mills Park. Lace up the shoes for a Friday morning walk at East Silver Saddle Ranch hosted by Muscle Powered.

Happy Easter, Carson City! Here's the schedule for today

Good morning Carson City, and Happy Easter! Today will be more of the same with partly cloudy skies, gentle breezes, possible showers, with a high of 62 degrees and a low of 37 degrees. On the schedule today we have day two of egg hunting at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, an Easter Sunday service at the Community Center, a community bike ride, and more!

Adorable egg-snatching riot breaks out on Nevada Railroad Museum Lawn

The first of two egg hunts at the Nevada Railroad Museum was a hit with the Easter hunters. Eggs filled with prizes, toys and stuffed animals were up for grabs during the hunt which lasted about one entire minute before the lawn was picked clean.

The Easter Bunny was on site for pictures, and inside the museum there will be children’s activities such as face painting, coloring stations, and more.

Festivities will continue throughout Saturday and then Sunday. The schedule is as follows:

Northern Nevada Hotspot and Faith Hope Love Of Northern Nevada are collecting donations of small toys, goodies, candy and Easter baskets from now until April 14. They will deliver the Easter baskets and the candy-filled plastic eggs for an egg hunt on Saturday, April 20.

This Western Nevada College Continuing Education workshop will introduce you to the magical art of Easter Egg painting, using a wax resist dyeing process. We will outline simple (or not so simple!) designs on eggs that have already been drawn into quarters to save time, then we will proceed to wax and dye each element in its turn. There is no limit to your imagination!

Easter Egg Hunt at Marine Housing Coleville

Sierra-Tahoe Branch and Unit #137 of the Fleet Reserve Association hosted the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Marine Corp Mountain Training Center, Housing Area, Coleville, CA which was well received by the children and parents.

The Branch & Auxiliary members prepared 600 plastic eggs and stuffed them with candy and small toys. In addition, one of the members made bunnies out of washcloths which the children can use instead of an ice pack (also known as boo-boo bunnies).
