Lester Holt Very Biased in Moderating Presidential Debate

First thing in Monday night’s Presidential debate, moderator Lester Holt told a whopper that illustrates the left-wing bias of lamestream media pundits and how they concoct completely false narratives to serve that bias and promote statist-liberal Democrats.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has “Question 4” on their November ballot which mirrors Nevada’s “Question 2”—the commercialization of legalized marijuana in the two states. Both initiatives were drafted and are promoted by the Marijuana Policy Project (Washington, D.C.) and are each locally sponsored by a “ Committee to Regulate and Tax Marijuana Like Alcohol.”

Tea Parties Were a Reaction to Bipartisan Cronyism

Event Date:
August 10, 2016 - 9:30am

In our last column, we explained that the financial collapse of 2007-08 was due much to collusion between private banks and government. Congressional mandates required lenders to issue mortgages to people who couldn’t afford them. Then, government agencies would purchase the faulty loans from the banks, thus relieving the banks of the risks.

A Potentially Potent Running Mate (sponsored)

As most of my readers know when it comes to politics I am a registered Independent. Most other Independents that I spend time around are individual thinkers who appreciate space and time to make up their minds before voting They are not party hardliners as are many Democrats and Republicans. Most Independents that I actually have met several times and waded into great exchanges of political conversation with struck me as voters who are very careful giving their vote to anyone.

Thoughts on the Republican National Convention

Nearly everyone, it seems, has been focused lately on Donald Trump’s nomination by the Republicans and now the chaos of the Democrat convention. We want to celebrate some other important aspects of the GOP convention (where Ron was a delegate) as reflected in speeches by Paul Ryan, Scott Walker and Mike Pence.

Democrats continue to extend registration lead across the board

Nevada Democrats continue to extend their voter registration advantage, not just statewide but in key political subdivisions, as GOP-aligned groups have been unable to slow the widending gap.

Voters Didn’t Get Fooled Again – and They Won’t Next Time, Either

Nevada Republican voters spoke loudly last night. Again.

They spoke loudly in November 2014, voting down a proposed gross receipts tax (GRT) 4-to-1 and sweeping Republicans into control of Nevada’s executive and legislative branches for the first time in generations.

That was a mandate to hold the line on taxes, reform collective bargaining, stop the bleeding in the Public Employees Retirement System, improve schools through choice and other reforms, and especially to oppose the kind of tax 79 percent of voters rejected.

Others saw things differently.

Democrats are unified....in dodging questions about Hillary and email probe

Since I am a fun guy to have at parties, when the Democrats held a "we are unfied" presser Wednesday, I decided to ask the federal candidates pounding Donald Trump about their own backing of a woman involved in an FBI probe.

PK, Let's NOT Do This Again

PK O’Neill vs. the facts (excepts from his newsletters)

Issue 1: Representation; Leadership vs. Serving the People

PK O’Neill’s candidacy for reelection raises serious questions about pragmatism, principles, integrity, the role of a representative, what it means to be a Republican, what it means to be conservative, what it means to represent your constituents and what it means to govern.

Democrats double Republicans in voter reg last month, ominous sign for GOP

Bern & Hill, Miracle Workers

Bernie has achieved the impossible. Verily the Grace of God has shone upon him.

He’s promising free college and free health care.

Not to be outdone, Hillary has tried to outflank him from the left by making the same promises and more -- and, just to show how the stresses of a campaign can make people go insane, she started barking like a dog (http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/15/politics/hillary-clinton-barks-like-a-dog-...).

But imagine that. They managed to convince:
▪ College professors,
▪ College administrators,
▪ Doctors and nurses,
▪ Hospital and clinic administrators,

Nevada has a closed caucus sytem -- that is, only Democrats can participate on Feb. 20 and only Republicans on Feb. 23.
But because of a quirk in the system -- cue the national ridicule again -- Republicans could vote in both caucuses. How?
Republicans closed their registration rolls on Feb. 13, ...

More registered voters have been recorded in Carson City so far this year than at the same time two years ago during the last election season, according to January 2016 voter registration data collected by the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office.

More than 27,600 registered voters were recorded in Carson City as of January 2016, the Secretary of State’s Office reports.

Increased voter registration, in fact, appears to be a statewide trend, too, the Secretary of State’s Office also reports.
