The trees and aspen "quakies" in Alpine County have now peaked. Another place to enjoy the fall colors would be at Taylor Creek on Emerald Bay Road near South Lake Tahoe.

Crews on scene continue searching the area for the subjects reportedly seen on the ridge from which the vehicle went over the embankment at the time of the incident.

Nevada nonprofit crafts 10th hunting and outdoor adventure for people who use wheelchairs

The upcoming hunt commences in Elko, Nev., on August 22, 2018 and will celebrate the organization’s 10th Anniversary. Carson City emergency crews called to crash involving 2 motorcycles on Highway 50 East
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Fri, 07/06/2018 - 12:40pmUPDATE 2:08PM: Eastbound travel lanes on US-50 at Arrowhead near Deer Run are now open. The westbound traffic is being diverted onto Arrowhead, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. One person was transported by Care Flight and the other rider was taken by ground ambulance. Their conditions are unknown at this time. NHP is investigating the crash.

Beat the heat at the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada; all admission fees have been waived today thanks to Carson City Toyota. Summer concerts at the Brewery Arts Center begin tonight with the Original Wailers.

You’ll hear her discuss her exhibit ‘Vistas and Viewpoints.’ Head down to Pizza Factory to lend a hand to Mark Twain Elementary School: just make sure to mention you are there for the fundraiser.

Three from Dayton charged in year-long NDOW bear poaching investigation

There’s something special going on at Carson High for our community members over 50: the annual Senior/senior Friendship Prom is free to attend and a great reason to dress to the nines. Sportsman’s Warehouse celebrates ‘Ladies Night’ with raffles, games, and giveaways. The Friends of the Carson City Library have invited local author Ron Bell to the Browsers Corner Book Store for a special meet and greet and book signing.
New Carson City Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation hosts first banquet at Carson Nugget

The Mule Deer Foundation is a conservation organization headquartered in Salt Lake City with local chapters throughout the western states. Volunteers and the money we raise, have been used for re-seeding fire areas, fixing or installing water guzzlers in desert areas, removal of old fencing that may impede migration or entangle animals.
