The Carson Lodge No. 1 of Free and Accepted Masons announces it is hosting the Third Annual Mason’s Charity Poker Tournament on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Carson Plaza Convention Center.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Masonic youth organizations: Carson High School scholarships, Rainbow Girls, Carson High School Safe Graduation and the preservation fund of the original V&T Railroad Depot.

The brave ones will be at the St. Baldrick Fundraiser at Red’s Old 395 where you’ll see some heads shaved for a good cause. Where ever you end up, just make sure you have a plan to get home safely.

Obituary: Kenneth Charles Traum, July 17, 1971 – November 5, 2016

Kenneth Charles Traum passed away suddenly at his home in Martinez, Calif., on Nov. 5, 2016. He was 45.

Kenny was born on July 17, 1971, at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, Calif. He moved to South Lake Tahoe, Calif., with his mother, Judy, and brother, Mike, when both boys were toddlers. He attended pre-school at Under the Magic Pine Tree, followed by Meyers and Al Tahoe elementary schools, South Tahoe Middle School, and graduated from South Tahoe High School in 1989.
