Plus there's local talks about history, addiction and wellness; a yoga class for those with arthritis, a family viewing of the classic basketball fantasy movie "Space Jam" at the Carson City Library and a whole lot more. On tap for the day we have morning and evening walks, a bicycle ride for ladies, an archery shoot at Centennial Park, a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser in Gardnerville to support Special Olympics, a meeting of the Carson City school board and more.

Is the persistent series of cold weather systems normal or not? We spoke with a forecaster from the National Weather Service about it and he noted that everyone has an opinion. Some folks swear this happens every Spring, storm after relentless storm through the entire month of May. They are giving them away today, two per person, first come first serve between 5 and 6 p.m. at Carson Mall in the Boot Barn. There's also a costume hike tonight at Carson River Park.

Carson City Library Tech Two classes to offer Excel training

Microsoft Excel Formatting will be offered at 6:00 pm on September 10th and is a prerequisite to the second class, Microsoft Excel Calculations offered at 6:00 pm September 17th.
Carson City Library to celebrate re-opening of its 'Digitorium' technology center

The event will be held Thursday, Oct. 23, from noon to 7 p.m. The public is invited to explore reconfigured spaces at the library’s 900 North Roop Street main branch.

Located on the second floor of the library annex, above the current Youth Department, @Two has been a busy community resource for patrons over the last year. Unfortunately access to the second-floor has been unreliable thanks to an aging and highly temperamental elevator.
Digital Learning Center launches Tuesday in Carson City

Located on the second floor of the library annex, above the current Youth Department, the center has been introduced to computer-using patrons over the last several weeks and now the community is invited, according to a news release
