With Nevada's COVID-19 numbers climbing, Lyon County asks residents to put aside politics and follow health guidelines

In the past several weeks Lyon County, City of Fernley and the City of Yerington have been flagged for elevated transmissions of COVID-19. Each Thursday at 10:00 AM we meet with the Nevada COVID Task Force to discuss our assessment and action plan.

Lyon County again flagged for elevated COVID transmission in Nevada

The Nevada COVID Task Force has notified Lyon County that they are to remain flagged for elevated COVID test positivity rates. October 12, 2020 Lyon County saw a test positivity of 8.2 percent and has experienced an increase week after week since then. As of Monday, Lyon County sits at a rate of 19.0 percent.
