The Casino Fandango has opened its new “Craft 55” bar, which is dedicated to craft beers and a pub-style menu with a few unique twists, including Duck Wings served with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks, bangers and mash, and chipotle shrimp cocktail, along with traditional pub fare such as sliders, bacon mac and cheese, buffalo chicken wings and more.

Heading into the last weekend of January there’s a mountain of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include a Chinese New Year Celebration at the Nevada State Museum and the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada. The Carson Comedy Club hosts its first Military Appreciation Night on Friday at the Carson Nugget. The guest speaker is GOP Assemblywoman Dr. Robin Titus who will address the issues facing rural and urban Nevada as the remaining new laws that were passed in the last session go into effect.

The 2020 Denim and Diamonds fundraiser is set for Saturday, Feb. 29 at Casino Fandango's Grand Ballroom in Carson City. All proceeds benefit Austin's House, our local non-profit children's shelter. The shelter cares for children ages infant to 18 who have been removed from their homes due to neglect or abuse.

This year's gala event features a fabulous dinner, silent and live auctions, and dancing to the music of DJ Steven ROCKS. Tickets are available for $65 or $125.
