Throughout the month, Carson Tahoe Health will be hosting a variety of FREE classes and events to raise awareness and offer support. All classes and events will be located at the Health & Wellness Institute (1470 Medical Pkwy, Suite 250).

With events taking shape in time for Friday's Passport to Downtown and Saturday's Nevada Day parade, there's lots of activity brewing this Tuesday including a morning walk and evening hike hosted by Muscle Powered, the annual Carson Tahoe Health Spooktacularl, fundraisers, art showings and more.
Carson Tahoe Health collaborates with CHS and DHS to recognize breast cancer awareness

Carson Tahoe's Think Pink fundraiser generates thousands for Breast Cancer Awareness

More than $4,000 was raised last night, alone. The campaign runs throughout the month of October, in recognition of breast cancer awareness month, to encourage women to take charge of their health.

The subject matter, dementia, affects many who care for aging family members. While the world is still searching for a cure, the good news is dementia research has hit record levels of funding and support in our country.

Building upon the significant success in the implementation of this new technology for gynecological procedures, Carson Tahoe has expanded to offer general robotic surgeries and urological procedures.

HopeFest 8 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital raised $30,000 for cancer patients, before fundraiser even began
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 08/24/2018 - 8:15pmHopeFest 8, a fundraiser benefitting cancer patients of Northern Nevada, returned for its eighth year Friday night at the Carson Tahoe Cancer center, but before the fundraiser had even began employees of Carson Tahoe raised $30,000 in the few months leading up to the benefit.

Smoke from regional wildfires eases some, then returns to 'unhealthy' air quality around Carson City
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 08/01/2018 - 9:24amUPDATE 11:53AM: Carson City and Gardnerville was downgraded to the "unhealthy" category on the Air Quality Index after remaining in the moderate level until around 10 a.m. The "unhealthy" category, in which Carson City was 161 and Gardnerville 162, means everyone may begin to experience health effects, members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.
