November is Diabetes Awareness month. Throughout the month, Carson Tahoe Health will be hosting a variety of FREE classes and events to raise awareness and offer support. All classes and events will be located at the Health & Wellness Institute (1470 Medical Pkwy, Suite 250).

Carson Tahoe Health's annual Spooktacular event is today, Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, 1600 Medical Parkway.

Join in for a scary good Halloween celebration. This year is even bigger and more Spooktacular than ever! Monsterlicious candy and treats for all the little boils and ghouls! It's a bloody good time for the whole family, so be sure to drop by for a spell...if you dare!

CARSON CITY — In support of breast cancer awareness this October, Carson Tahoe Health has donated pink athletic socks for Carson and Douglas High School’s football players to dawn for their big rivalry game Oct. 25.

Arnold Carbone of Glorious Garlic Farm recently taught a workshop on growing garlic at the Foothill Garden, on the Carson Tahoe Health Campus.

Carson Tahoe's Think Pink fundraiser generates thousands for Breast Cancer Awareness

Carson Tahoe Health and Red's Old 395 Grill in Carson City partnered Monday to host their annual kick-off event, "Think Pink," a campaign for breast cancer awareness. More than $4,000 was raised last night, alone. The campaign runs throughout the month of October, in recognition of breast cancer awareness month, to encourage women to take charge of their health.

Carson Tahoe Health celebrates 100 robotic-assisted surgeries

CARSON CITY — Since debuting the da Vinci Xi Surgical System in November 2017, Carson Tahoe’s expert surgeons have performed over 100 robotic-assisted surgeries.

Building upon the significant success in the implementation of this new technology for gynecological procedures, Carson Tahoe has expanded to offer general robotic surgeries and urological procedures.

HopeFest 8 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital raised $30,000 for cancer patients, before fundraiser even began

HopeFest 8, a fundraiser benefitting cancer patients of Northern Nevada, returned for its eighth year Friday night at the Carson Tahoe Cancer center, but before the fundraiser had even began employees of Carson Tahoe raised $30,000 in the few months leading up to the benefit.

Diabetes Prevention Program

Smoke from regional wildfires eases some, then returns to 'unhealthy' air quality around Carson City

UPDATE 11:53AM: Carson City and Gardnerville was downgraded to the "unhealthy" category on the Air Quality Index after remaining in the moderate level until around 10 a.m. The "unhealthy" category, in which Carson City was 161 and Gardnerville 162, means everyone may begin to experience health effects, members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.

Smoke-filled skies continue to grip Carson City and Western Nevada on Wednesday though some of the haze has eased since the first part of the week.

Air quality worsens Tuesday morning over Carson City, Carson Valley skies

Air quality in Carson City reached an “unhealthy” status Tuesday morning, with a 153 on the Air Quality Index. In Carson Valley, an AQI monitor in Gardnerville registered 129 placing the area in the “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” category.
