Treat yourself to an evening out on the town. Bill Wharton will be performing Friday, Nov. 5 at Bella Vita Bistro from 5-8 pm. Good food, friendly service, and provided atmosphere. If you are beyond ready for a toe tappin', foot stompin', finger snappin' good time, then head on down to Bella Vita, 1304 S. Carson St., (Carson Mall, Stewart Street entrance). Bring your friends, bring your kids, bring your dancing shoes.

Grab some friends or family and craft with us this weekend at The Place to DIY in Carson City! Friday and Saturday, March 16-17 from 12 noon to 7 p.m.

Join us for a fun, casual competition to see who knows the most! Drinks and snacks will be available. Must be 21 years of age or older to participate, so make sure to bring your ID.

Fizz! Boom! Read! And Spark a Reaction this summer at the Carson City Library and discover the amazing world of science. The 2014 Summer Reading Program is open to young people, preschool through young adult, with programs, prize drawings, story hours, a reading club, and more.

There is a Read-to-Me portion of the program that families are invited to join as well. Registration for the Summer Reading Program has begun and continues this Saturday, June 14th, at the annual Kiwanis Breakfast for Books. The pancake breakfast will take place on the library lawn from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.

The comical, informative and uplifting performance of “The Vagina Monologues” will be returning to the stage in Carson City for 2014. This controversial play was written in 1996 by Eve Ensler; a playwright, feminist, activist, performer, and artivist.

There will be new additions to the next “Red, White and Blue Barbecue” at the Carson Nugget. The next barbecue will be held on the Carson Street lot, across from the casino on Saturday, June 29th from 1:00 until 7:00 PM. This will be the second in a series of four “Red, White & Blue Barbecues” this summer. Admission is FREE and offer fun for all ages. Must pay for food.

New vendors are currently being sought to participate. Spots are $25 in advance. Interested parties can contact Mary Burgoon at MBurgoon@ccnugget.com.
