Carson City drivers take note: school zone changes made along King Street

As we near the beginning of another school year, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office would like to remind all drivers to slow down when nearing the school zones.

Remember, it is 15 mph in these zones unless otherwise posted. Sheriff’s deputies will be patrolling the zones throughout the school year and issuing citations to offenders.

One change that should be noted by drivers is the school zones located at Bordewich-Bray Elementary and the Carson Middle School. The zones have been combined and now run the length of King Street from Ormsby Boulevard to Minnesota Street.
