Carson City Democratic Women's Club Monthly Meeting

The Carson City Democratic Women's Club Monthly Meeting will be held Saturday June 14 from 10 a.m. to noon at Democratic Headquarters 502 E. John St Suite G. A light breakfast is available starting at 9:30 a.m. for a small donation.

We will have a debate on the Tax Education Initiative. Bo Statham and Doug Smithson will be debating each other on the issue.

A continental breakfast is available starting at 9:30 a.m. for a small donation. The featured speaker is Nevada Historian Guy Rocha. He is very well renowned. The featured speaker is Karen Abowd Carson City Supervisor for Ward 1. After the speaker plans for the March 15th History Tea will be discussed.

Our featured speaker will be Gene Paslov to discuss the new performing arts school. Results of a phone survey will also be discussed. We will also be planning for a picnic in September at Fuji Park.

There is no featured speaker but members will be discussing the outcome of the election and what this portends for future action. Memories of recently deceased member Karen Priest will be noted. Plans for the holidays will be made along with how the Club can be helping with local community programs.

The Carson City Democratic Women's Club monthly meeting will be held Saturday July 14, at Grandma Hatties. At noon, the featured speaker is Dennis Noone, Editor of the Nevada Appeal. There will also be a brief presentation from the Organization of America's Nevada Rural Coordinator concerning the start up of the Obama campaign. The Carson City Democratic Women's Club monthly meeting will feature speaker Ryan Costella who will introduce his "Empowerment Nevada" Program. This should be a lively discussion. The Open House for the new headquarters September 23rd from 5-8 PM will be planned as well as the design for the Club's Nevada Day Float.
