Measuring Liberty and Libertarians

Libertarian votes for Hillary

The corrupt Clinton criminals are repeating this strategy of divide and conquer again in this election and every voter should understand that any Republican vote for third parties helps insure victory for the lollipop guild Hillary who is as intelligent, and honest, as she is tall. The Clinton's crime family rose to power using the divide and conquer assistance of Ross Perot. The Clinton's can win again with only a minority of votes because many voters split the electorate three ways.

Who's the responsible choice for Assembly 40?

I attended all the pre-election forums at the BAC performance hall, and found myself a little bit confused by Republican Assembly candidate Al Kramer's position on background checks for non-FFL firearm purchases. At the forum, I thought I heard Al say he supported universal background checks, by which I assume he meant that he'd be willing to vote for such a bill were he elected as our Assemblyman.

What Works: Stagnation is putting your life and business in danger

When I think of stagnation, I think of a pond where the water isn’t circulating. The water gets murky. Algae might grow. If water sits stagnant for a while, pets can get sick if they drink from it. Stagnant water is a source of malaria and dengue. It’s serious stuff. Let it sit a long time and it smells like serious stuff, too. This is what happens in our lives if we don’t grow.

Measuring Nuclear Insanity

The Alarm Clock of History

The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists indicates the doomsday clock is only three minutes left before nuclear war. There has never been a more dangerous time of nuclear confrontation than today. The administration has pursued the Obama/Hillary/Kerry policy of War Through Weakness rather than the Reagan Peace Through Strength policy that won the cold war. The question for a Hillary voter is; Will Mrs. Clinton sell the rest of our uranium just to earn another big payday for Bill from our enemies?

On the Carson City Chamber of Commerce forum for local candidates

What Works: Good boundaries make for good business

I grew up where the handshake deal was gold. If someone said they would do something, they did it. All it took was a handshake and work began. Handshake deals are still pretty common. Unfortunately, plenty can still be misunderstood with a handshake deal.

What Works: What I learned about business through paranormal investigating

Inspiration can come from anywhere. Sometimes, business lessons come flying at me faster than I can take notes about them. Ideas are sort of like orbs. Some you can’t see unless you are looking for them. Some people believe in them, some don’t. Yet they are always a topic of discussion. The orbs were flying like crazy at The St. Charles Hotel this past weekend.

What Works: Everything you want is on the other side of fear

I just got back from a great trip to the Bay area. What may surprise you is, fear almost talked me out of it. Fear told me my car had been feeling kind of funny and maybe needed a once over from a mechanic before the trip. Fear told me I haven’t seen the friends I was meeting for a long time.

What Works: When in Doubt, Do Something

Have you ever felt stuck?  Tires in the mud of life stuck? Where is my life going stuck? Being stuck can be an important part of the change process. Yet, if you let it get to you, it can trigger deeper levels of stuck. Through inaction, you could perpetuate your own negative outcome.

What Works: Burned out on sales? Do you believe in what you are selling?

I saw a meme on Facebook the other day. It was a woman with glowing, soulless eyes. The meme read, “the look you get when you have been in sales too long.” It was posted by a career salesman who felt soulless doing what he does for a living. My question to him was this. Do you believe in what you are selling? His answer: no.
If you don’t believe in what you are selling, you are going to face challenges.

What Works: Define Your Purpose

I was so touched by the response to the Advanced Gratitude Journaling class I taught last Friday. Whenever I can make a difference in someone’s life, I get a deep sense of satisfaction. I feel it takes me one step closer to fulfilling my life’s purpose.I am committed to learning, growing, inspiring others, and making a difference in the world.

What Works: The Labor of Letting Go

This is the first Labor Day I didn’t force myself to work. After the Temple Burn at Burning Man, I decided I needed to dedicate a little time today to a different kind of work. That work was emotional in nature.

See, the Temple Burn on the Playa is a somber moment. It’s a time of reflection, letting go, and grief. The purpose is to release pain, bad habits, and what no longer serves.

GOP candidate Donald Trump in and out of south shore Lake Tahoe quickly for fundraiser

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump was greeted by nearly 900 attendees inside and some demonstrators outside a fundraising dinner at Harrah's Lake Tahoe in Stateline on Friday night.

What Works: Eight things being alone taught me about business

Alone. Just sit with that word for a bit. Alone. Does it send chills down your spine? Does it induce a little fear? Or, does is speak to you in a different way?

Sen. Al Franken makes campaign stop for Clinton in Carson City

U.S Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., stopped by the Carson City Democratic Headquarters on Saturday to stump for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and to celebrate the grand re-opening of Clinton's Carson City campaign office.

What Works: Honor your past, stay present, and visualize your future

In 2009, I lost my job at Konami Digital Entertainment. It was devastating. I realized my household now had zero income. My husband at the time didn’t have a job, either. He had been looking for a job for months since he quit his job in Dallas to move us to Southern California.
