Ballots have been sent (or will be sent soon) to Carson City residents for the local upcoming elections. These are your candidates, who they are, and what they stand for.

Join CASI for a fun day of Bingo where you can meet new friends, share some laughs and win raffle prizes and money. The CASI ball payout is now over $600.

CASI will be holding their Bark, Whine and Dine event on August 29th at 5:30 PM at Fuji Park. Dinner will be provided by the award winning Carson City BBQ. There will be silent auction items galore and a beautiful quilt to be raffled off. Music will be provided by Ten Dollar Pony. Here is your opportunity to help CASI help Carson City's homeless critters.

Time to lace up the jogging shoes and strut with the pooches Saturday, Sept. 20 in Carson City. It's the third annual Carson Animal Services Initiative's 5K9 fun run/walk at Riverview Park on East Fifth Street in Carson City.

The fundraising event is a great way for families to show off their pets while giving them some exercise too. Awards will be given to the 1st place male and female K9 finishers. Every participant receives a free gift.

Check-in time is between 8:15 - 8:45 a.m. with the run beginning at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is encouraged and discounted fees are offered.

Bark Whine and Dine to benefit the Carson Animal Services Initiative will be Sunday, July 27, at Fuji Park in Carson City.

The event will start at 1 p.m. and includes a barbecue lunch with food provided by Foodies Bystro and entertainment by Jake Houston. Proceeds from the event will help to build the new animal shelter in Carson City.

The dedicated volunteers of Friends of CASI or better known as CASI have been diligent in their mission to make a new animal shelter a reality for Carson City residents. Starting the year out with ambitious goals of raising more money for the shelter construction fund is only part of CASI’s mission.

Help us build a new animal shelter one card at a time. The Carson Animal Services Initiative fundraiser will be at County Purr Farm Scrapbooking store, 3220 Highway 50 East in Carson City.

Stop in Saturday April 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and make 5 special animal themed cards for only $5 all supplies are provided. All proceeds will go to CASI. Raffle tickets will also be sold for a chance to win wonderful prizes.
