September 23, 2017 - 9:00am It's that time of year again...the CASI Pooch Plunge! Come out and join us for the goofiest pool party ever! Thank you to Carson Aquatics Center and Artistic Fence for joining with us!
What: It’s a Pool Party!
Where: Carson Aquatic Center, 841. N. Roop St.
When: September 23, 2017 9-10 am small dogs only
10-3 pm all sizes
Cost: $10 for 1st dog, $6 for each additional dog
Rules:
1. One dog per human handler, each dog must have a registration form filled out, forms available at event.
Humane Society urges pet owners to bring dogs and cats indoors

With a couple inches of fresh snow on the ground around Carson City, Anna Pittenger's family puppy, Charlie, enjoys the snow before going inside. With frigid overnight temperatures expected tonight through the weekend, the Humane Society reminds pet owners that after outside play time, the best prescription from the cold is to keep your dog or cat inside with you and your family.
Pooch Plunge to benefit CASI runs today at Carson City Aquatic Center

Join the Carson Animal Services Initiative, also known as CASI, at the Carson City Aquatic Center today, Saturday, Sept. 27, now through 4 p.m. for the Pooch Plunge. Bring your pooch to the outdoor pool for a fun time while helping CASI raise money for a new animal shelter. The Plunge is $10 for first dog, $5 for each additional dog. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To assure everyone has a great time, some rules apply:

September 27, 2014 - 9:00am Two CASI events coming up. First is the third annual Carson Animal Services Initiative's 5K9 fun run/walk at Riverview Park on East Fifth Street in Carson City on Saturday, Sept. 20. The following week is the Pooch Plunge.
Saturday's K9 Walk/Run fundraising event is a great way for families to show off their pets while giving them some exercise too. Awards will be given to the 1st place male and female K9 finishers. Every participant receives a free gift.
Carson Valley Trails Association's Hike For Health this Saturday

September 20, 2014 - 8:00am This year’s event is a multi-location Family Day with a culminating BBQ at the Nature Conservancy’s River Fork Ranch. Interpretive hikes and activities will occur at the River Fork Ranch, Fay-Luther Trail, Genoa Canyon Trail and Minden Gazebo from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The event is free. Participants must sign a release and waiver form. A parent or guardian signature is required for participants age 17 and under.
