This is a dirt road. There is a slight elevation going up the dirt road at the beginning but from there it is mostly leveled. There is parking on the side of the street. In an era where students are more comfortable communicating behind a screen rather than face-to-face, teaching Physical Education can be more than challenging at times. It seems that each year there are fewer students who enjoy physical activity. This year has been no different.

Here we are, entering the end of the work week. We welcome Friday, April 12, 2019 with a forecast calling for mostly sunny skies with a daytime high in the low to mid 50s. Not bad. CARSON CITY — Carson High School teachers and support staff were surprised this morning at their regularly scheduled 7 a.m. faculty meeting in the library before classes began. A total of $10,000, parceled out in individual envelopes containing $50 bills, sat neatly organized on a table across the room. Every teacher, custodian, kitchen worker, counselor, para pro and faculty member was given $50 to “Pay It Forward.”

Expect mostly sunshine and cloudy skies today as a weather system is expected to move into the region later tonight bringing rain showers to the lower valleys and some snow to the Sierra for the first day of Spring. The CHS teacher of the year is Astronomy, Honors Physics, and head CHS Freshman Football Coach James Bean Jr. Born in Okinawa, Japan where his dad, a Marine, met his mother, Bean moved back to the US when he was 4-years-old.

Cameron Rudy was crowned Mr. Carson High 2019 Friday at the Carson City Community Center in Carson City.

Well we're here Carson City. We're heading into March 15, the last Friday of winter 2019. While March 20 may be the first day of Spring, the weekend ahead is about the Irish and their spring.
