Now, 12-year old Smith is dealing with the ravages of Lyme disease, which include arthritis, heart problems, lung disorders, and now, she is suffering from a malaria-like illness. Medication for this illness runs $967 a month, and is not covered by the family’s insurance.

I learned a lot about how to use my body more efficiently to reduce the pain I feel after doing my landscape chores. Think of all the things we gardeners do with our bodies: bend, dig, haul, kneel, mix, plant, prune, pull, rake, lift, twist and rake, just to name a few. And, we think gardening is a leisure activity!

A 22-year-old Carson City man, Madison Ray McGlynn, was arrested Wednesday, 3:15 p.m. in the 2700 block of East Long Street on a felony burglary warrant issued Nov. 20, 2013 out of Carson City Justice Court and two misdemeanor warrants, contempt of court, and failure to appear, each issued July 9, 2013. Bail: $20,687.

First of all, exercise isn’t supposed to be easy—especially if you have been a lounge lizard for years. And, no it isn’t over in six weeks. You will need to sweat and be very consistent about your workout schedule for a lot longer than six weeks. Sounds depressing doesn’t it? It means you must build your life around exercise, not vise versa!
