Artistically INKlined, Spiritual hints, and Harvest Faire, just some stops on Downtown Wine Walk, Sat Oct 5th

Featured stop on the Wine Walk: A unique art show displaying the non-skin works of art from Carson City’s finest tattoo artists at Mo and Sluggo’s Bar in Carson City, NV. Artistically INKlined 3: The Skull, will showcase the oil paintings, water color, air brush, and mixed media from 6 local shops and over 11 artists with special guest sculptor. Art INK 3 is from 1pm – 9 pm, during the October Downtown Wine Walk. The show is FREE to attend but is a fundraising event for the Brewery Arts Center’s Youth Art Programs.

SENarts continues beyond the 2013 legislative session

The Brewery Arts Center in Carson City has joined the SENarts Partnership, collaborating with the Nevada Division of Museums and the Nevada Arts Council to bring high-quality art experiences to the state Legislative Building.

As one component of this partnership, the Nevada Senate and the Brewery Arts Center jointly announced Tuesday that a new art show comprised of about 50 pieces by local art students has been installed on the second floor of the Legislative Building and would be in place for four months.

Carson City Library summer enrichment programs bridge opportunity gap for local youth

Between June 7 and August 4 the Carson City Library engaged a record breaking 2,750 youth, ages 6 – 17, in signups for the 2013 summer reading program and attendance in summer learning activities. In that time, more than 21,788 items circulated from the library’s youth collection, primarily traditional books but also e-readers like Kindles, iPads, PlayAways and PlayAway Views.

Nevada Expressions II Comes to Carson City: Art Show and Sale to Benefit Historic Preservation on the Comstock

After a successful run in Reno at the Sierra Arts Foundation Gallery, the Nevada Expressions II Art Show and Sale will come to Carson City. The opening is on Friday, April 26, 10 am – 8 pm, at the Great Basin Art Gallery at 110 South Curry Street and the show will run through Sunday.

The public is invited to the artists’ reception, Friday 4 – 8 pm. Stop by to meet and see the work of 25 of Nevada’s leading contemporary artists. The work is primarily paintings with some jewelry, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media.

Carson City Christmas Time Art Show at BAC

The Nevada Artists Association will present the Christmas Time Art Show at the Carson City's Brewery Arts Center Gallery. NAA artists will be exhibiting fine art in paintings, photography, sculpture, pottery and glass. Shoppers looking for those special one of a kind gifts will be delighted with the art at the BAC Gallery, which will be open daily, now through Christmas, including Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Carson City Chamber of Commerce Home and Garden Show at Carson Mall

The Carson City Chamber of Commerce's Home and Garden Show will take place on April 28 at the Carson Mall. The show begins at 10 a.m. with ribbon cutting by Mayor Robert Crowell & Chamber Board of Directors.

Buckland Station art show Sunday, August 21

Local artists will be displaying and demonstrating techniques in various art mediums, Sunday August 21, 2011, at Buckland Station, part of Fort Churchill State Historic Park, according to the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources website.
Sculptures and paintings are two of the several art mediums to be represented at the Buckland art show.
Art will be displayed outside Buckland Station and Buckland Station will also be open for walk-through, video tours.
