November 5, 2011 (All day) Do you have apples ripening on your tree? A local group of volunteer fruit foragers would love to come by and pick the ripening fruit. The Fruit Barons harvest unclaimed fruit and donate surplus to a number of local organizations. This year they will also recover apples to make cider for a social event hosted by Healthy Trees. Persons with ripening fruit can bring in their own apples or call the Fruit Barons at 220-6330 or 224-3827, who will donate some of the apples for a cider-making event to be held on Saturday, 5 November, 10 a.m., at 2578 South Curry Street, #5, in Carson City.
