Francisco’s Mexican Restaurant announces April closure after 10 years at Carson Mall
Carson City’s Francisco’s Mexican Restaurant has been a long-standing feature in the Carson Valley, and expanded into the Carson Mall in 2013 in the spot previously housing Paradise Cove.
Now, after a decade of serving up Mexican fare inside the mall, the location will be closing.
According to a spokesperson for the restaurant, the restaurant will be closing at the end of its lease which extends through April 2024.
The popular Minden location, which has been in operation for more than 20 years, will remain open.
“At the moment we have not yet decided to open another location (in Carson City),” the spokesperson said.
They said that if there are prospective restauranteurs who are interested in opening a business, the location is available for negotiation for turnkey.
Francisco’s offers a large menu with a variety of Mexican fare with a variety of special entrees, enchiladas, burritos, tacos, fajitas, tostadas and more, with separate lunch and dinner specials.
They are located on the eastern side of the Carson Mall at 1310 S. Stewart Street, and are open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
