An altercation at a Carson City gas station Monday in which a man told 911 dispatch that he used pepper spray on a homeless person, ended with the arrest of the 911 caller after deputies found at least 2.5 pounds of marijuana, hashish, and drug paraphernalia on him, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
The incident happened late Monday afternoon at a South Carson Street gas station and the man arrested was from South Lake Tahoe, who was in process of being booked Monday night, said Furlong.
The suspect told 911 dispatch that he confronted a homeless person who was bothering him and used pepper spray on the man. When deputies arrived the suspect was antagonistic and belligerent toward them and the homeless man he pepper sprayed, said Furlong.
Deputies detained the man and in the process found 2.5 pounds of marijuana, “a lot of hashish” and drug paraphernalia, said Furlong.
