Carson City Local Retains Title As 24 Hour World Champion
Carson City local, Shane Trotter, has done it again: Trotter won the 24 Hour World Time Trial Championships for his age group in 2019, and he wanted to go back in 2020, but the event was cancelled due to Covid.
Trotter has been heavily training for these and other Ultra Cycling events for the past 4 years. He and his wife Nikki Trotter own a local Spin Studio, Life Cycle Spin and Yoga. Trotter does a lot of his training while teaching classes at the spin studio.
In 2019 Trotter became the 24 Hour World Champion for his Age Group and Placed 9th overall. This year he came back stronger than ever and took 2nd place overall and brought home the World Champion Title for his Age Group. Trotter rode 484 miles in 23 hours and 53 minutes.
