Kids 8-17 can get a free flight in single engine airplane July 9 at Carson City Airport
Interested in experiencing the thrill of flight in a single engine aircraft? The Carson City EAA Chapter 403 is hosting another Young Eagles event at the Carson City Airport on Saturday, July 9.
This event is free and is open to kids ages 8-17 years of age. On the day of the event, the kids will get a pre-flight safety briefing and then get to fly in one of a variety of single engine aircraft that are owned by our Young Eagle Pilots. They will also get a Log Book to record their flights, a free membership to the EAA Young Eagles and an access code for free on-line Ground School.
Seats are limited so sign up ASAP. Go here for the registration link. The registration opens on July 5 at 7 a.m. It is limited to the first 60 kids that register.
Carson City EAA Chapter will also be hosting a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. that morning at the EAA Chapter House, located just west of the terminal. Breakfast will be served from around 8 a.m. to around 10 a.m. and is $7 for adults and $5 for children under age 18.
Breakfast includes all the pancakes and eggs one can eat, a helping of bacon or sausage, orange juice, coffee and bottled water. No reservation required for breakfast.
