Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties (HCC) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Rural Outreach Grant (ROG) Program Manager. Description of Role:
Healthy Communities Coalition is looking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Rural Outreach Grant (ROG) Program Manager.
The ROG Program Manager is responsible for managing the ROG project at the strategic level and acts as the award point person between the organization, partners, and funder, manages resources and oversees finances to ensure the project progresses on time and on budget.
The Program Manager will review regular progress reports and make staffing, financial, and other adjustments to align the developing project with the broader outcome goals. This role includes convening consortium members once annually as well as coordinating and providing monthly check-ins with individual consortium partners. Regular participation in HCC's Rural Health and Nutrition Initiative (RHNI) and Health and Wellness Hub meetings is also required. The Program Manager will provide oversight of the grant project on a day-to-day basis, including operation of the Lyon County office that houses the project, and supervision and support of the Community Health Workers. Ensure that all mandatory Office of Rural Health Policy (ORHP) measures and project-specific outcomes data are collected and forwarded to the Data Coordinator, and that timeline benchmarks are met.
Compensation:
Pay: $20 - $23.50 an hour depending on experience and funding available. Position is Grant funded and is not guaranteed.
Benefits: 100 hours annual PTO, 7 paid holidays per year, access to 403(b) savings plan, $150/month medical stipend, flexible hours, work from home allowed.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Science or related field, or one year experience with grant management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Principle Responsibilities:
• Recruit volunteer partners and donations to support program activities
• Coordinate and convene school and community dental events
• Supervise Community Health Workers and Data Coordinator in implementation of grant deliverables
• Consistently communicate with partners and staff
• Develop infrastructure and partnerships for ROG program.
• Provide health education training to community and staff members
• Evaluate effectiveness of implemented programs
• Develop presentations and present on progress, events, programs and opportunities with partners.
• Ensure grant activities and spending follow all local, state, and federal regulations for funding
• Provide grant oversight, compliance, and planning
• Ensure the timely completion of all relevant grant deliverables.
• Develop and submit grant reports on progress to funders.
• Coordinate, write, and submit grants to support and sustain ROG operations.
• Identify areas for improvement and enact plans to address barriers.
