The Brother Dan Show features Nick Aliberti, aka Kingwhistler, Monday at Carson City's Bank Saloon
Singer/songwriter Nick Aliberti will be featured on The Brother Dan Show, live from the Bank Saloon in Carson City, on Monday, April 25. Local audiences will recognize Kingwhistler from a number of local appearances including the annual Levitt Amp Concert Series in Carson City.
Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Aliberti has settled in Carson City after having lived and traveled throughout the country. His first recordings were produced in the Los Angeles area, with help from a crowd-sourced funding campaign, with tracks recorded in an assortment of studios ranging from Los Angeles to Frankfurt, Germany.
Aliberti draws inspiration from a number of sources, particularly classic California country and folk rock, and tracks may feature banjo, Hammond organ, piano and guitar, making for a melodic yet rootsy vibe. That foundation supports Nick’s vocals and lyrics that feature original takes on classic themes.
This weekly show features a revolving cast of guest artists, joining the host, Brother Dan Palmer, for an afternoon of music making and chat. The show offers audiences a chance to get to know a wide variety of skilled musical artists, as they improvise and make music together, often for the first time.
Music starts at 4:30pm on Mondays, with free munchies from Mangia Tutto, and the show streams live on Facebook starting at 5:00pm on the host’s music page: Brother Dan Palmer
The Bank Saloon is located at 418 S. Carson St. in Carson City and offers fine craft cocktails along with a weekly line-up of entertainment, including The Brother Dan Show on Mondays, plus a selection of local musical acts on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
