Carson City Classic Cinema presents 'The Adventures of Mark Twain' (1944)
In conjunction with Mark Twain Days, join the Carson City Classic Cinema Club on Friday, April 21 as we view "The Adventures of Mark Twain" (1944).
"The Adventures of Mark Twain" is drama of Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain, from his days as a riverboat pilot on the Mississippi until his death in 1910.
The 1944 American biographical film was directed by Irving Rapper and stars Fredric March as Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) and Alexis Smith as Twain's wife Olivia. Produced by Warner Bros., the film was nominated for three Academy Awards, including that for Best Music for Max Steiner's score.
We will also be showing 2 episodes of Bonanza, featuring Mark Twain on Saturday night, April 22 at 6:30 p.m. All three of these will be shown in the Black Block Theatre of the Brewery Arts Center (449 West King Street). These showings are all free.
