Carson City Classic Cinema Presents 'Lilies of the Field' April 4 at Brewery Arts Center
The Carson City Cinema Club presents “Lilies of the Field” (1963) on Tuesday, April 4 at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall (511 West King Street, the old Catholic church).
Doors open at 5:30 pm; after film trivia and discussion the film will begin at 6:30 p.m. Please note new start time for movies.
Lilies of the Field is a 1963 American comedy drama film adapted by James Poe from the 1962 novel of the same name by William Edmund Barrett, and stars Sidney Poitier, Lilia Skala, Stanley Adams, and Dan Frazer. It tells the story of an itinerant worker who encounters a group of East German nuns, who believe he has been sent to them by God to build them a new chapel.
General admission is $5 at the door. Students of any age are free with ID. You do not need to be a club member to watch this movie. Popcorn $1.
