Homelessness and Regional Housing
My Name is Tiearrar Subia I am writing this email to bring to your attention an issue I have been facing with Regional Housing Authority and Truckee Artists Lofts, As Well As SHRa As you know, these Public Housing Agencies household income is no more than 50% AMI level.
Over the last few Months, I have contacted specific people for assistance. Still, the outcome has been the same — they are either (understandably) too busy to respond, or their responses lack sufficient detail for me to understand. I have been selected for not one but two different housing authorities and I have been told that I do not meet qualifications for Section 8 public housing authority and regional housing authority. I am homeless with Four Children and yes I have very low income.
My Credit Score is poor. I am also a victim of Domestic Violence and I have been working with a few other resources like Sacramento Lao Family and also Anthem Blue cross Master Care even 211 Sacramento and been told there’s no funding available for housing no funds for motel vouchers every shelter in the community is full and no one has been able to help.
I thought that these companies were here to help people with low income and credit scores homeless people with children people with disabilities and people who are veterans . Why are we the Main ones that are still struggling? Why are we still Homeless? Why are you guys spending $31,319,791 dollars to build these communities properties for homeless people and turn them away due to lack of credit , background and other issues that are causing this crisis? My question is how do you expect to end homelessness around the world when you turn them away due to there credit score.
So homelessness isn’t due to people being evicted or being forced into eviction from domestic violence or other issues related to low income like loosing their jobs a Lost in the Family etc I don’t understand how even when you speak with a representative you don’t feel like your being treated as an equal they’re rude and they don’t even give you enough information about your waitlist status or anything I’m confused about how these companies are helping people.
There are Zero funds to help people who are homeless but you guys Are paying millions of dollars to build these homes or build new stadiums. To rebuild your community but not building up your community I would like to say that I’m not only speaking for myself but I also believe that I am not the only person who has been discriminated against by the government and State Workers who apply for the job to help people in need then treat them like they do not deserve to be placed in housing.
I apologize for the lack of support and I appreciate you for taking the time to read this email this is causing a large amount of stress and frustration for me and my family.
As a solution, I would like to suggest that if you’re going to build housing and build communities to support homeless families you should consider they may have a low credit score and may need some assistance in building their credit or may have a eviction help them expunge it from their credit report.
I believe this will lead to a significant increase in productivity across the entire Country and world .
Kind regards,
Tiearrar Subia
