Sign up now for Spring Break Discovery Program for Carson Valley Kids Ages 5-9
Spring is here and nature’s classroom awaits. Are those birds locals or tourists? Questions are the basis of understanding and the philosophy of HS Voyager is to nurture the natural curiosity of every child and encourage them to pursue a path of questioning that will help them understand the subjects and answer the questions that they find the most interesting.
This action packed week of outdoor activities and nature hikes takes place at the Dangberg Home Ranch April 12 - 16. Program guides will help the kids to build and fly their own kites. Of course, there will be lots of games, adventure, exploring, observation and experiments to learn all about weather and wind patterns, micro and macro environments, birds, insects and wildlife. All of their discoveries will be documented in their own daily nature journals where they will draw and write about their favorite discoveries.
This is a special mini-program designed to keep your kids engaged and active during Spring Break. They are keeping the program small so everyone can actively participate. There will be only 12 learners with two guides (6:1) student ratio.
Everyone will be meeting at 9 a.m. (8:30 am drop off) each morning at the Dangberg Home Ranch. Rainy day? No worries, they have an alternate indoor location nearby and lots of Plan B indoor activities (if needed). Pickup your tired and happy child at 3 p.m. Program fee of $135 includes all materials and water, pack a lunch and snacks.
HS Voyager was created by a Carson Valley working family, for Carson Valley parents looking for educational opportunities and resources that will take their child’s learning to the next level. They are currently taking enrollment applications for their full project based learning program in the fall, which focuses on critical thinking and problem solving skills for the Twenty-First Century.
