Women Veterans Across Nevada to Gather in Reno During Annual Conference
(Reno, Nev.) - Women warriors from across the Silver State will gather in Reno on Saturday, March 12 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center for the 2022 Annual Women Veteran Conference.
The FREE event is hosted by the Nevada Department of Veterans Services.
It provides Nevada’s women veterans the opportunity to come together for a day of fun, learning and comradeship.
The theme this year is “Emergence: A Way Forward.” The featured speaker is Lourdes Tiglao, Director of the VA’s Center for Women Veterans with additional speakers presenting on veterans’ benefits and VA Healthcare Programs for women veterans. There will also be breakout sessions on entrepreneurship, self-defense, and more! The David J. Drakulich Foundation will also be offering a “Combat Paper Art Project,” where you can roll up your sleeves and make something special.
The in-person conference will run from 8:00 a.m., starting with check-in and running through 4:00 p.m. Attendees may also participate virtually, via Zoom from 9:00 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. Registration is available through Eventbrite by visiting:
