Eastern Sierra history program explores Death Valley 'a nice place to visit'
Sunday, March 12 at 1pm, Wylder Resort Hope Valley will be continuing its history series if the weather allows. We’re going to try again with the program, “A Nice Place to Visit, Tourism Below Sea Level.”
How did a location best known for producing laundry soap…with one of the least marketable names imaginable (Death Valley)…come to be one of the “must see” destinations for travelers and adventurers the world over? Using rare and one of a kind vintage photos, we’ll recount the improbable story in free 50-minute slide show.
PLEASE NOTE: with the challenging weather we have been having, please call us at 760 920-8061 Saturday morning (between 10 and 11:30) to confirm the program is still on, and whether it will be at the Wylder Resort or General Store. Thank you for your understanding.
